Nzula Makosi, who hosts Chat-spot on Switch TV, has quit barely a year after starting the job. Taking to social media, Makosi said that she has resigned to focus on personal projects. “So this week is my last on #ChatSpot. A local scenario is of the popular Kenyan controversial blogger, Robert Alai who faced criminal charges in July for sharing images of slain police officers following an Al-Shabaab attack in Wajir. A time police spokesperson, Charles Owino defined such an act as one seeking to glorify the scathing acts of terrorism. According to Section 37 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act, a person who transfers, publishes or disseminates, including a digital depiction available for distribution or downloading through a telecommunications network or through any other means of transferring data to a computer, the intimate or obscene image of another person commits an offence and is liable, on conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand shillings or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years. The resourceful, witty and charming host – Ann Kansiime’s traits flow with ease. Ann is the undisputed, Ugandan queen of comedy. She fits the bill perfectly. The East African Got Talent show airing this Sunday 4th August – Citizen TV – at 8 pm EAT will bring an array of acts that will showcase an endless pool of talent in the region. If you haven’t seen talents and gifts bordering on downright bizarre and insane, this is it. While it’s modelled on the larger Got Talent franchise, the East African Got Talent edition will deliver/showcase the rich due to the cultural diversities in play, and the excitement it has generated across the landscape will bring forth an endless troop of hopeful stars. The acts range from comedy acts, singers, acrobats and similar stunts. It’s open season, no-holds-barred as long as it borders on safety, sanity and excludes nudity. I expect the show stoppers to be the illusionists and magicians. Wahu´s hubby, Nameless got hospitalized towards the end of 2018. An incident that saw her ditch secular for gospel music. Nameless was diagnosed with ´an artery burst that caused a blood clot in his brain´. This is after experiencing an unceasing headache ahead of a scheduled meeting. Therefore, spending days on the hospital bed before getting out and recover. Nameless penned: Unfortunately I will not be able to make it due to doctor´s orders. Been admitted in hospital since last week… still undergoing treatment and observation and thus looks like tomorrow I can´t make it to Kampala. However I have talked with the promoters there and for sure they will organize another Kenyan takeover once I get better. In her new video release ´Everything´ the gospel songbird explains what exactly transpired that led to her hubby´s days on the hospital bed. The video shows Nameless bid his kids goodbye before he drops down after a headache. In a past interview with ´Mpasho, Wahu explained: I am a born-again believer. Having refocused myself in the sense that my relationship with God is my priority and I want my music to speak of where I am right now. I feel the connection and I want it to be a true reflection of where I’m at. Video
